We collect certain basic information about you when you visit our website. We recognise the importance both of keeping that information secure and of letting you know what we intend to do with that information.

This privacy statement has been amended to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.

(1) Who we are
We are Brampton Valley Homes and our registered office address is Brampton House, 19 Tenter Road, Moulton Park, Northampton, NN3 6PZ. In these terms, we refer to ourselves as “we”, “us”, “our” and “Brampton Valley Homes”. The user of the website is referred to as “you” and “your”.

Through the analysis of statistical information, we can provide you with an enhanced website user experience.
We collect information you give us when you register your interest in a site or property. We require only the information we need to provide a service to you, such as your name, postal address, telephone number and email address. Where we would like more information to help us improve our services, over and above the basic required information, it will be clear that your response is voluntary, and you are free not to provide us with more information if you would prefer not to do so.
(3) How we use the information about you and how long we keep it
We use your information to provide you with the website and to contact you to provide information about our homes and schemes available that could help you move home. We may also contact you for market research purposes or to help improve our products and customer service. If you have completed the on-line enquiry form, we may contact you with information about future developments that may be of interest to you. If you purchase a property from us, personal information will be used to ensure we meet our contractual obligations to you.
We keep information provided by yourself for 12 months after completion of the original development you registered your interest in. It is then destroyed. Personal information that we hold relating to the purchase of a property is kept for a period of 10 years after legal completion on the property, in line with the warranty provision in place, then destroyed.
(4) How we share your information with other parties
We may disclose your information to third parties in certain circumstances, but we will not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
We may share your information with our funders or potential funders, such as our bank and
with our professional advisors who have a reasonable need to see it where relevant (i.e. you purchase a property). If you purchase a property from us, we may also pass your basic information (name and address) to utility providers who require your information to provide services to you (for example council tax or electricity).
We may also give third party providers who supply services to us, or who process information on our behalf, access to your information (for example our emergency service provider, boiler supplier or legal team). Where doing so, we will always take steps to confirm that that their security measures are adequate to protect your information.
We may share your information with another organisation that buys our company or our assets, or with another organisation from which we acquire a company or business, and during any preceding negotiations with that organisation, which may or may not lead to a sale.
We will also pass your information on to third parties whom you may ask us to, for example if you ask us to put you in contact with professional advisors.
We take security of personal data seriously and use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input when using our website when transferring this data.
We use encryption to protect your information contained in our customer list.
We use a firewall to protect against unlawful intrusion.
We limit access to your information on a “need-to-know” basis.
Our email system operates on a secure platform to ensure data transmitted by us electronically is safe, however we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically and the sending of emails is therefore entirely at your own risk.
Paper copies of information held about you is stored in locked filing cabinets within our secure offices.
(6) Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to our Data Controller using the contact details in section (10).
We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate and you may ask us to remove you from our email alert lists at any time by writing to our Data Controller. We will also offer you the option of correcting your details and of being removed from future email alerts when we send you an email alert. You can ask to stop receiving emails at any time by using the unsubscribe links contained within the acknowledgement emails when you register your interest.
