What Waltham on the Wolds has to offer

Besides the picturesque views, beautiful walks and peaceful village life, Waltham has many amenities on your doorstep, making it an enviable location to call home. There’s the historic ‘Royal Horsehoes’ pub which dates back to the mid 15th century and was named ‘Royal’ after a visit in 1843 by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. It has a fine selection of ales and wines and a superb menu, and has a variety of themed nights on during the week to take your fancy.
As-well as the pub, there is also a Post office in the centre of Waltham and next door there is the lovely Waltham Deli, which has an array of beautifully made food and drink to satisfy the tastebuds of any foodie. The Brampton Valley Homes team can personally vouch for the amazing food and we all find it hard to come to Waltham without a visit to the Deli!

Waltham also boasts a village hall which is a hub for the local community along with the 13th century church which is located opposite the pub. There are frequent coffee mornings and prayer meetings at Church, and many events are organised through the village hall all year round making it the perfect get together to get to know your friendly Waltham neighbours.

A doctors surgery and the C of E primary school complete the facilities on your doorstep but the beauty of Waltham is that it lies 10 minutes from Melton Mowbray and 15 minutes from Grantham, where there is a fast train to London if you need to commute. For great family days out, Belvoir castle is 12 minutes away, there is Lake View Fishing if you’re fond of fishing, and Melton Golf course is 2 minutes up the road towards Melton.

Waltham on the Wolds; a real jewel in the crown of the Vale of Belvoir and a great place to call home!
